Lincolnshire is a county of spires and I've always thought that our beautiful churches are the wonders of West Lindsey.

This weekend I have been going around the district visiting a number of parish churches that are open for the West Lindsey Churches Festival.

I am deeply grateful to the amazing volunteers who have devoted so much time and effort to welcoming people at each of these structures.

They are rendering honour to the many generations of Lincolnshire men and women who have devoted time, care, attention, and money towards building and maintaining these churches and their communities.
