The Government need to support and invest in British steel production and manufacturing. The security of our industry is more important now than ever and we need to maintain and expand our means by which to produce what we need in this country. The Government are quick to blame the policies of previous Conservative administrations however, I believe, the problems faced by Scunthorpe Steelworks, and others like them, are in part caused and greatly exacerbated by having to pay the highest energy costs in Europe.
