It is profoundly sad and disgraceful that the abortion up to birth clause has passed in the House of Lords. Alongside this an amendment that will pardon a woman who aborted her baby at 39 weeks pregnant and was described by the judge as showing "no remorse". 

This is a terrible indictment of our society. 

Furthermore this was added into the bill in question after the committee stage, without the appropriate scrutiny.
