Today in Westminster I met with members of the Lincolnshire Care Association.
This is our local not-for-profit coordinating those who look after our elderly people, those with learning disabilities, and other vulnerable people or who provide residential care.
Care providers are facing many challenges up and down the country and it was good to get a first-hand update on the current state of play.
In particular, I have continually raised with ministers the high cost that increases in National Insurance contributions will have on our care sector.
If these changes take place as proposed, many care providers will be forced to make cuts.
They promised to keep me updated and I will continue to advocate on their behalf here in Parliament.
