Local Government Reorganisation and the creation of unitary authorities is neither something I or many of my constituents have any enthusiasm or appetite for, Lincolnshire is such a large county geographically that it makes very little sense to form a unitary authority and I am sceptical of the proposed benefits. However, on this matter the Government is determined to override any local or community consensus on the matter.
Even more concerningly there is a possibility that a 'Greater Lincoln' may be the result of this. This would be a disaster for West Lindsey and other districts in the county as it would leave us neglected and out on a limb.
