In the House of Commons today I was happy to pay tribute to our excellent Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones.
He and the Chief Constable have been pulling their hair out because they need to look after a vast chunk of England while being the worst-funded police force in the United Kingdom on a per head basis.
There is no point in reorganising local government and abolishing PCCs if the Government isn't willing to fund our police properly so that they can do their job.
Lincolnshire Police have been underfunded and need more money or public safety will suffer.
