One of, if not the greatest grievance in Britain today is the government's consistent failure to tackle mass migration. If we want to deal with the idea that Great Britain is broken we have to control our borders against illegal migration, by arrest, detention and deportation and do so by a derogation from the international human rights conventions. Said human right conventions frustrate our ability as a nation to secure our borders and keep our country safe, doing so to an increasing degree and exacerbating the situation as it worsens.
This week, on the floor of the house, I advised the Home Secretary that this was the only way forward.
