Since day one of the current war in the Middle East I warned that it'd be wise for Britain to take strictly defensive action, and so far I am pleased that the Prime Minister has continued along those lines. However what this conflict has illustrated to us, is that sadly, Britain's armed forces are not best equipped to defend us in such emergencies. I took to the floor of the house to advise the Prime Minister that we need to rapidly rearm - I suggested that a portion of the welfare budget, that has become bloated and far too high, could be used to help do this.
