Sir Edward Leigh in the Chamber

We should absolutely support and fund end of life care for those who are dying. The importance of the work of hospices and those in palliative care cannot be overstated. However, there is a clear difference between that, and what is essentially assisted suicide. As a society we should love and cherish life in all forms, even when it comes accompanied by illness and affliction. To that end, the rejection of this bill is a great victory for our nation.
