The King's Speech which formally set out this government’s legislative agenda and priorities for this new parliamentary session concerned me greatly.
We need to stop the endless bureaucracy and government by focus group. Government must be prepared to do the right thing, however unpopular it may be in the short-term. We should replace THE triple lock with A triple lock, an average of the three indices, as the current situation is becoming untenable and unaffordable - we must remember the young. Incentivise wealth creation over wealth distribution.
One of the most unsettling elements is the further commitment to unreasonable net-zero targets. Our agricultural land, of which in Lincolnshire we have some of the best in the country, is for growing food not vast solar farms.
