Today I nipped in to the Nationwide branch in Gainsborough.

It is refreshing to visit an actual bank branch that is open and providing the traditional service.

Across the years in Parliament I have written in vain to the chief executives of many banks making the case for bank branches remaining open.

They are very useful in rural areas, especially for businesses and for our more senior residents.
