Here in Lincolnshire we are blessed to have the amazing St Barnabas Hospice to look after people at the end of their earthly lives.
They do so with care, kindness, and devotion.
Unfortunately the Government's decision to increase National Insurance contributions has hit them very badly.
When I visited, they told me that they are losing £300,000 a year because of this.
In the debates on assisted dying, we all agree that we want more palliative care.
I just cannot understand the logic of what the Government are doing. Today I made one last appeal to them not to load this extra cost on to hospices.
