I went to visit David Ward, the sub postmaster at East Barkwith.

He has been a powerful voice for postmasters in the East Midlands and has been a great help keeping me up to date on the many issues affecting them.

I visited Andy's Children's Hospice charity shop in Market Rasen.

At Treasury Questions I had the chance to ask Ministers what fiscal steps they are taking to support small businesses.

I pointed out that becoming an entrepreneur in this country has become increasingly purgatorial over the past twenty-five years.

In the Commons today I pointed out that High Streets are fundamentally important to communities across Britain and we're working hard to improve the town of Gainsborough.

Our district councils are doing the hard work of looking after our high streets and communities.

I was delighted to meet Holly Meneer of Queen Elizabeth's High School in Parliament on 15 January.

The school has been recognised for its work by the British Council, who have granted it their International School Award.

I greatly enjoyed my visit to the Parish School in Gainsborough.

These are wonderful kids with very caring and conscientious teachers.

The School Council here have lobbied me for a new roof, so I will write to the Funding Council.
