I am very saddened by the death of Her Majesty the Queen. She was a model of tireless and uncomplaining service based upon the firm foundation of her Christian faith. People across Lincolnshire, the United Kingdom, and the world will mourn her loss.

As someone who was knighted by the late Queen and appointed to her Privy Council I felt particularly touched by her kindness as well as her attention to detail. In particular she remembered my late father who had served her as Clerk to the Privy Council.

We will keep the King and the entire Royal Family in our prayers during the coming days.
