Flooding in Fiskerton and Short Ferry

Inspecting the flooding

I've been out in Fiskerton and Short Ferry today to inspect the damage from the recent floods.

I spoke with the Environment Agency, Lincolnshire County Council, and Lincolnshire Police about their flood response.

It's a relief that residents have now been told they can go home safely but we need to make sure we're prepared for the future.

A long-term solution is needed with more flood plains to protect homes rather than just patching up banks after incidents.
