Sir Edward Leigh has condemned illegal cross-Channel migrants using human rights law to evade justice.

We have many challenges to face, not least of all the cost of living crisis and a war in Eastern Europe.

I am sorry to hear of the Prime Minister’s resignation but she clearly felt she could not carry on under the circumstances. She has my sympathy.

We had a lively and successful quiz night in Nettleham this weekend with the local Conservatives.

I visited East Barkwirth to support the local sub postmaster David Ward.

David is running a campaign as President of the North East Region of the Sub Postmasters Federation for a decent salary and opportunities.

I am very saddened by the death of Her Majesty the Queen. She was a model of tireless and uncomplaining service based upon the firm foundation of her Christian faith. People across Lincolnshire, the United Kingdom, and the world will mourn her loss.

Today I visited Sean and the staff at Riverside Training in Gainsborough — part of Acis Group and one of the largest adult training providers.

They tell me there is no shortage of vacancies and Universal Credit is encouraging people into work.

I have gone to Market Rasen following the recent flooding.

The water has been cleared up thanks to our emergency services. But a normal summer rainstorm should not cause drains to back up.

I went to Springthorpe to support their opposition to a massive new solar park in addition to all the others.

If approved, there would be more solar farms in West Lindsey than in any whole region of the UK — in excess of 10,000 acres.

With the leadership team of West Lindsey District Council, I went to investigate the extension of the Riverside Walk at Gainsborough.

This now runs for two miles and is a beautiful amenity adding to the chief town of West Lindsey.
